Directions
Use: 2 Cups water per 1 cup dry rice. Add 1 tsp oil if desired.
Stovetop:
1. Soak rice for 15-20 minutes. 2. Rinse thoroughly and drain water. 3. Add water in a wide pot and heat on low uncovered. 4. Once the water is at the level of the rice, cover the pot. 5. Allow to sit for 10-15 minutes. Serve hot.
Rice Cooker/Microwave:
1. Prep Rice same as above. 2. Use a microwave safe dish or rice cooker. Heat for 15-20 minutes on medium heat covered. Serve hot.

Our rice can simply be boiled in a pressure cooker or microwave oven and combined with your favorite curry to make the perfect Indian dish.If you want to add some flavor to your plain rice, here is how you can do it -Rinse the rice, drain the water and set it aside. Heat 1 tablespoon ghee in a pan or wok and add 1 whole bayleaf, 1-inch cinnamon bark, 4-5 cloves to it. Once the cumin seeds start spluttering, add the drained rice to it. Sauté the rice for two minutes on a medium flame. Add two cups of water and salt to the rice and mix well. Bring to a quick boil, then reduce the heat to a simmer.Cover and cook for approximately 5 - 6 minutes, till all the water has evaporated and the rice is cooked through. Top with chopped cilantro and serve hot with your favourite curry!
