A fashionable, but quite mysterious Parisian woman waits, perhaps for the lone figure barely spied near the painting's edge. Art critics have speculated whether this work is an echo of the artist's life as an unmarried man. Highly successful French artist Beraud received the Legion d'Honneur in 1887 and was a gold medal winner at the Paris Fair of 1889. Our authentic stretched canvas replica captures the original painting's texture, depth of color, and even its brushstrokes, which are applied by hand. It is surrounded by our imported, antique gold-toned, delicately sculpted 4" wide designer resin frame with a leaf motif.
