Based on a find from Lisbjerg, Denmark, these 925 sterling silver Tortoise Brooches sport a very cheerful looking gripping beast design.

They are lighter than our previous version with a new mould being produced to replecate the traditional construction method. As a result, the back of the brooch is patterened with weave from the cloth used when making the mould - just like the originals.

The brooches are 8.2 cm long, and weigh about 100g each.

Price is for a pair.
